Soften Your Ride With Help From A Spring

IMG_7457-COLLAGE

Using the Wunda Chair in the Pilates studio, the springs create force coming up from the ground much like the bounce from the footfalls of your horse. In this workshop we’ll use the “Chair” to reveal held tension that interrupts the idea of distribution or absorption of the forces coming up from below. We’ll explore pelvis position and how it becomes the distribution center sending the bounce of the horse's gait through the whole body. You’ll find a softness in your back improving your sitting trot, half halts and downward transitions, you’ll feel more secure jumping, and respond better to spooking, bolting, bucking etc.  Letting go of held tension carries over to your post ride experience reducing back pain and soreness.
